Looks Who Turned 1!

November 26, 2019

Hello everyone!!

Well, it has been quite a long time since my last blog post.  Actually, it has been like a lifetime since I posted anything here!

Well, first things first.  Year One is in the books! We made it, but it wasn't easy.  I knew we would have some growing pains and issues, but nothing like what we have endured in 2019.

The restaurant has had a lot of changes and we continue to evolve.  We have a loyal following and we love all of you that have supported us since Day 1.  We continue to struggle finding the right balance of operating hours.  The building we are in has not been as supportive as we had hoped.  When I was searching for a location, I was told that there would be a couple hundred people in each building, but the support just hasn't been there.  I hate being closed part of the week, but the economics just don't allow us to stay open every day,  I am hoping that will change in 2020.

We started a new venture last month as we partnered with a couple F45 Studios, St. Albert North and Terwillegar.  The Cave Meal Prep has been providing meals for their customers as they embark on an 8 week Challenge.  We hope to continue building on this in the New Year as more studios open.  We also serve anyone looking for a meal prep program to fit their lifestyles.  It has been a challenge, but we are finding our groove and improving our processes.  You can find us at www.thecavemealprep.ca

Our Beast Dinner Series was a success this year as we hosted three [3] dinners.  Pork, Flightless Birds and Beef were the feature proteins, with Wild Game having to be postponed until 2020.

We recently launched our Winter  Menu a couple weeks ago and it has been received quite well.  We also updated our Wine List to match the menu and we hope you will find some time to visit us this winter!

I want to say 'Thank You' to all of you that have supported us!  You are the reason we do what we do and we will continue to work hard to bring you the best dining experience in Edmonton.  2020 is going to be BIG and EXCITING!!  I can't wait for what the future brings.

Remember you can follow us on Facebook and Instagram.  We post a lot there and if you want to stay in the know, check us out on one of our social feeds.

If we don't get a chance to see you before the holiday break, all of us at The Cave want to wish you and your families a Merry Christmas!!  All the best to you!!!
